This area of Mauritius is excellent for exploring the east coast and you’ll come across many places like Victoria 1840, which is an old sugar cane mill that’s certainly worth a look. It’s been converted into a museum and works by Yvette Maniglier who was the last private pupil of Henri Matisse.
